Salman Khan firing case update: Mumbai crime branch officers arrive in the city with the two arrested shooters
The Mumbai crime branch has arrested both the shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal on Monday (April 16) evening in Bhuj for allegedly carrying out the shooting at Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai on Sunday.
The officers have now brought both the shooters to Mumbai. A few minutes ago they were spotted at the airport.
Their faces were covered with black masks – and the two were seen in blue and red T-shirts with jeans. The Mumbai crime branch had arrested the two men from Bhuj, Gujarat.
Salman Khan was also seen returning to his home late last night from work. His car was followed by a series of security vehicles.
According to a report in India Today, Salman Khan had asked his team to not cancel his work schedules as he wanted to continue working.
Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz had also released a statement on behalf of the Khan family.
Arbaaz had mentioned in his statement that the ‘family has been taken aback by this incident.’
The statement also read that reports of them being not bothered with this firing are untrue. And also said no member of their family has issued any such ‘loose statement’.
In a note on his social media account, a disturbed Arbaaz wrote: “The recent incident of firing by two unidentified persons on a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment, the residence of the Salim Khan family is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident that took place. Unfortunately, some people claiming to be close to our family and pretending to be the spokesperson have been making loose statements to the media saying it’s all a publicity stunt and the family remains unaffected which is not true and these views should not be taken seriously.
No member of the Salim Khan family has made any statement regarding this incident to the media. At this time the family is helping and cooperating with the police in the investigation of this untoward incident. We have faith in the Mumbai police and we have been assured they will do everything in their capacity to protect and secure our family. Thank you everyone for your love and support.”
Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother had taken responsibility for the shooting on Sunday and termed it as a mere ‘trailer.’
According to Police sources, one of the gunmen is wanted in the murder of a businessman last month. He belongs to the Rohit Godara gang, who operates for Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He has also fled to Dubai and is currently based in Canada.
