Boris Johnson is set to announce that he is stepping down as Prime Minister today (June 7).
The news comes after a flurry of Conservative resignations, a domino effect caused by Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid handing in their notice on Tuesday.
The PM will address the nation in a speech later today, where he is expected to officially announce his resignation.
But when will the historic event take place, and how can you watch it live?
Here is everything you need to know.
What time is Boris Johnson’s speech?
Although Downing Street is yet to announce an official time, it is widely believed that the speech will take place at 12pm today.

Mr Johnson also faced a difficult Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday when challenged by Sir Keir Starmer, Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Labour Party, over his recent conduct.
Following this, Johnson also received a grilling from numerous MPs in a Liaison Committee in the House of Commons.

How to watch Boris Johnson’s speech
The prime minister’s speech will also be broadcast live on BBC News and Sky News.
The speech will also be streamed online on BBC iPlayer and Sky News’ Youtube channel – and you can also watch it on the 10 Downing Street social media channels.
ITV will be showing ‘ITV News Prime Minister’s Resignation Special’ from 12.30pm.
