What to expect from the ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ season 1 finale

The first nine episodes mostly follow the structure of the original “Squid Game,” starting with “Red Light, Green Light” and “Dalgona.”
However, there are some twists, including tests that weed out contestants outside of challenges. The tests include contestants voting each other out, and a jack-in-the-box that can either eliminate a player or give them an advantage.
The show also features some challenges not seen in the “Squid Game” drama, like “Warships” in episode three, and “Circle of Truth” in episode nine.
By the end of episode nine, there are only three contestants left: player, 287 Mai; player 451, Phill; and player 016, Sam.
At the end of the episode, there is also a small teaser for the finale that implies there are two more challenges to come. The final challenge is likely to be the titular “Squid Game.”
