Carabao Cup final: Chelsea get double boost ahead of Liverpool clash
Chelsea have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their Carabao Cup final with Liverpool on Sunday evening.
This was possible after defenders Thiago Silva and Marc Cucurella returned to partial training ahead of the Liverpool clash.
The duo will undergo more training sessions, which will allow Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino to assess their fitness levels for the final.
Pochettino affirmed the same during his pre-match press conference while discussing Silva and Cucurella’s return (via football.london).
“I think we need to assess to see whether they can be involved on Sunday. Yes, I will communicate tomorrow if we recover players from training. Yes, he [Thiago Silva] has the chance. Tomorrow, we will see,” he said.
