Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha star Shin Min-ah is enjoying immense success right now. The K-drama, which she starred in opposite Kim Seon-ho, achieved its highest viewership ratings yet with its final episode.
Recently, the 37-year-old actress was named as the new global brand ambassador for Gucci alongside Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae. While this might be an impressive feat, Shin, who started out as a model for a teen magazine in 1998, has already bagged many international and local luxury brand endorsements throughout her career. According to Soompi, she reportedly earned US$2.8 million in 2013 from CFs (TV commercials) alone.

Donning a gorgeous laced violet top paired with a high slit skirt from Gucci’s Aria collection, Shin looks radiant in one of the official pictures for her new gig as the brand’s new global brand ambassador.
In an official statement, the Italian luxury maison explained the reason behind her appointment: “Her sophisticated and unequalled style and her belief in the pursuit of diversity and respect for self-expression is similar to Gucci’s philosophy.”

The Swiss luxury watchmaker has collaborated with Shin number of times over the years. She modelled the brand’s gorgeous timepieces in an exclusive magazine photo shoot for W Korea and Harper’s Bazaar Korea, among others. In 2017, she was chosen as the face of Cartier’s Panthere de Cartier jewellery for South Korea.

With her ethereal beauty, Shin is also a sought-after ambassador among beauty brands. This year, the Oh My Venus star was named Givenchy Beauty’s latest muse. In her debut post, she flaunted the brand’s Le Rouge Deep Velvet N37 – Rouge Graine collection. She was chosen due to her reputation as an established actress and beauty icon in South Korea, according to AllKPop.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha fans have surely noticed Shin’s to-die-for designer handbags on the show. A few that stand out are Couronne handbags – a brand that Shin also serves as the ambassador for.

“I have collaborated with Roger Vivier as more than the commonly called ‘ambassador’ role for the brand,” said the actress in an interview with Dazed Korea. She also confessed that she only wears Roger Vivier shoes in real life, stating that she loves working with the brand because of its “classic and calm identity”.

Known as one of Korea’s highest-paid endorsers, it’s not surprising that local brands have also competed to get Shin as their muse. She was appointed as Michaa’s brand ambassador in 2019 for its first capsule collection. She then appeared in its spring 2020 campaign and sported Michaa’s outfits in her show Chief of Staff (2019).

In 2020, the Tomorrow, With You star was selected as Chanel Beauty’s ambassador for South Korea. Their first campaign was published in Elle Korea magazine followed by Marie Claire Korea, where she sported lipstick from Chanel’s Rouge Allure collection.

As fate would have it, Shin got close to her current boyfriend of six years, actor Kim Woo-bin, on the sets of Giordano Korea back in 2014, according to Cosmopolitan.
The pair then appeared in a Giordano ad campaign together as a couple in 2015, both modelling for the brand’s winter collection.

In 2009, the prolific actress landed her first campaign with Calvin Klein Jeans. The advert – published in Elle Korea – saw Shin in a crop top, form-fitting jeans and alluring make-up.
