Although ITV has yet to confirm a start date, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2021 is anticipated to air from mid November to early December.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the survival reality TV show will return to the Welsh Gwrych Castle for a second year.
The decision to keep the programme in the UK was confirmed in August. Producer Richard Cowles explained: “With the continued uncertainty around Covid and international travel we have taken the decision not to return to our home in Australia for the 2021 series.”
Viewers will have to wait a little longer to learn which famous contestant will appear in the show’s 21st series.
There are already, however, several celebrities rumoured to be taking part in the show. You can see the rumoured line-up further down in the article, as reported by Birmingham Live.
How much will the cast get paid?
Although none of the pay-checks for I’m A Celeb contestants have been confirmed, there have been rumours of what the 2020 line-up earned.
Ruthie Henshall, who was a newcomer on the show, earned £75,000 for her role in the series, while presenter Vernon Kay allegedly bagged a total of £250,000.
In general, viewers can expect the salaries of I’m A Celeb participants to range from £30,000 to £500,000, which likely depends on how famous a contestant is.
I’m A Celebrity 2021 rumoured line-up
Earlier this year, the 28-year-old singer hinted at the possibility of joining the show. She said: “I’ll try anything once, do you know what I mean? I’ll give it a crack. If something smells bad I won’t put it in my mouth, but I am good at creepy crawlies.”
The Little Mix star might need the distraction of a good survival game, seeing her two other band-members will be busy being on maternity leave.
The 25-year-old actress, best known for playing Bethany Platt on Coronation Street, has been rumoured to become an I’m A Celeb contestant for several years.
Lucy has already competed on a similar reality show called Don’t Rock The Boat, a five-part adventure contest.
Her knack for risky experiences coincides with her potential presence on the ITV series.
Tom Malone Jr
The former Gogglebox star has recently responded to a question from one of his 313,000 followers asking if he would consider appearing on another reality TV show, such as I’m A Celeb.
Tom replied: “Yeah sure, I think. I actually think that would be sick, and probably would be very fun.”
As the notable journalist has recently left the BBC Breakfast show, Louise might be ready to tackle new adventures.
As a matter of fact, ITV bosses have been reportedly keen to sign her up for the upcoming series of I’m A Celeb.
Liberty rose to fame this summer after a rocky season of Love Island, where she also gained the sympathy of millions of followers.
As a result, the 21-year-old Brummie reality TV star has been reportedly tipped to sign up for the survival show this year.
Olivia also rose to fame after appearing on Love Island, back in 2017. She has since earned her own reality TV show and won several other TV gigs.
Nevertheless, the 30-year-old TV personality revealed that she was keen for more, as she told Radio Times: “I’d love to do the jungle. I’d give Dancing on Ice a go, although it does scare me.
“I’m a bit of a baby, so I don’t like getting hurt. I feel like the minute I fall over once, I’d be done. I know it sounds dramatic, but I’m just a bit like that.
“For me, the jungle is less scary. So I’d love to do the jungle.”
John Barnes MBE
The former England footballer told the Mirror: “I’ve done a number of shows in my days but nothing as adventurous as I’m a Celeb.
“And to be honest, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t eat or anything I wouldn’t do… I’m fairly easy-going, if they asked me to do something, I’d do it.”
ITV bosses have been reportedly desperate to sign the Frenchie Manchester United star for many years.
“I just like the idea of Eric Cantona talking in French and coming up with really profound things”, ITV director Richard Cowes said at a recent Royal Television Society Q&A.
