NDO – Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has announced the plan to organize the 2021 Spring Flower Festival and flower markets for the upcoming Tet holiday.

Accordingly, the Spring Flower Festival will take place over 12 days, from February 6 to 17 (from the 25th day of the twelfth month of the lunar calendar to the 6th day of the first month of the Year of the Ox) at Tao Dan Park (District 1). Under the framework of the event, a series of exhibitions and art contests for flowers, fish, ornamentals, bonsai, rockeries and small landscapes will appear across 10 exhibition areas.

At the same time, many traditional Tet activities such as displaying fruit platters and flower arrangements; a lion and dragon dance performance, traditional martial arts, folk theater arts (puppet dance, don ca tai tu), folk games, circus, magic, painting playgrounds, painting exhibitions, performing Vietnamese calligraphy and culinary culture will also be held.

In addition, the Tet flower market will take place in three large parks including September 23, Gia Dinh and Le Van Tam, along with 174 flower distribution spots across 21 districts in the city, from February 4 to 11.

The Tet Flower Market in District 7 and District 8 will take place in the area along the Tran Xuan Soan route from January 27 to February 11.
