DPWH completes bridge in Aurora
MANILA, Philippines — The construction of a 60-meter concrete bridge across the Biclat River in San Luis, Aurora has been completed, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Located along A.C. Buencamino street, the Biclat Bridge has eased the transport of materials and farm produce from the villages of Dibalo and Dibut to the town proper and marketplaces, according to DPWH-Aurora district engineer Roderick Andal.
Solar street lamps, thermoplastic pavement markings and road safety signages were installed along the bridge to ensure safety of motorists.
Funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act, the P55.85-million Biclat Bridge project covers the construction of a 454-meter road and flood control structure with an access ramp, to allow safe passage of goods and people.
