'Have to admit James has smashed it': Ola Jordan gushes about her husband's weight loss after the duo shed a 6.5 stone between them

Ola Jordan gushed about her husband James’ weight loss on Tuesday.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 40, who shares daughter Ella with James, took to Instagram to praise her fellow dancer, sharing before and after pictures of him.

She quipped that she could finally stop asking him when the baby is due, referring to his previous larger tummy, after he shed three stone.

Ola, who has lost 3.5 stone herself, embarked on a weight loss journey with her husband last summer, with both completing dance shred workouts and tweaking their diets over a period of five months.

She captioned her post: ‘Have to admit James has smashed it – and I can finally stop making jokes about when his baby is due!

It comes after Ola showcased her incredible new figure earlier this month in a bright pink bikini.

Showing the before and after with a shot of herself before transforming her body entirely, she puts her hand to the camera to smoothly transition into her toned physique.

And James took the opportunity to re-share the impressive clip to his own following on Instagram, where he gushed over how he ‘loved her then’ and ‘loves her now’.

Ola posted the clip to her followers on Instagram, writing: ‘I thought the old me had gone forever and I’d just have to accept that I’d never get back to how I was.

‘I’d stopped dancing, had a baby and basically was just eating way too much. And for ages I really wasn’t ready to change all these bad habits I’d got into.

‘But one day I woke up and decided I’d had enough of feeling down about it.

‘Enough of hiding in baggy clothes. And pretending I didn’t care. When you get to that stage where you’ve had enough – you’re ready to make a change.

‘I just took one day at a time and didn’t give in – though loads of times I wanted to. It helped having James to support me and getting a buddy or a hubby to join you is a great idea.

‘So if you’re at the “had enough stage” and want to have some fun along the way to getting fitter and more confident – we are here to help with with the plan we developed to get us back into our Strictly best shape.’

Her husband James also shared the video of her to his 248,000 followers, and spoke of how proud he is to see his wife so fit – but insists he loved her then and loves her now.

Writing on Instagram earlier this month James said: ‘Loved her then, love her now but I know she is happier and healthier after losing the weight.

‘I’m sorry if people get offended by that but it’s true – we are both healthier and in a much better headspace now.

‘I wanted to be a fit dad who can chase around after Ella without having to sit down after five minutes.

‘It helped having each other as support and getting a buddy or a partner to join you is a great idea.

‘So if you’re at the point where you’d like to make a change and want to have some fun along the way – we are here to help with with the plan we developed to get us back into our Strictly best shape.’

The post has been one of many from Ola and James since initially revealing their incredible weight loss.

Ola admitted she was appalled by her weight after sharing a holiday photo with followers last Summer.

Captioning the image, in which she posed alongside her husband in a bikini, she wrote: ‘Hi guys, I wasn’t going to post this picture but I’ve decided to because I’m horrified and so disappointed with myself and by posting it I’m hoping it will help motivate me to do something about it.

‘Our friend took this snap of us yesterday trying to stay cool by the pool but OMG… it was a total shock to say the least! When did we get ‘mum and dad bods’ ????’
