Coal India Dividend 2024: Coal India Ltd, on Monday, disclosed an impressive 17 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2023, amounting to Rs 9,069 crore, up from Rs 7,755 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

The company also reported a modest increase in revenue from operations, which grew by 3 per cent year-on-year to Rs 36,154 crore in the third quarter, from Rs 35,169 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Compared to the quarter that ended in September, the net profit experienced a robust growth of 33 per cent, from Rs 6,800 crore, while revenues saw a significant rise of 10 per cent quarter-on-quarter. The EBITDA for the quarter was reported at Rs 11,350 crore, with a margin of 31.5 per cent.

In addition to its financial achievements, Coal India announced a second interim dividend of Rs 5.25 per share for the fiscal year 2023-24. The company has designated February 20 as the record date for this dividend, with the payout scheduled for March 12.

This recent dividend declaration brings the total interim dividend for FY24 to Rs 20.5 per share, translating to 205 per cent of the face value. This follows a previous announcement in November of a first interim dividend of Rs 15.25 per share.

Coal India has marked February 20 as the record date for the 2024 dividend. “The Company has fixed Tuesday, 20th February, 2024 as the Record Date for the purpose of payment of 2nd Interim Dividend on Equity Shares for Financial Year 2023-24, if declared by the Board,” was stated in a company exchange filing dated January 29.
