article 370 director on film being banned in gulf countries: how can the truth be offensive to anyone? – exclusive
Not surprisingly, the much-talked-about film Article 370 has been banned in several Gulf countries.
When contacted the director of Article 370, Aditya Suhas Jambhale expressed surprise over the ban. “Frankly I was surprised with the news of the ban. Because I believe the film does not have anything that can be categorised as a content that needs to be banned. It is an honest attempt to showcase the true events that shaped the mission to abrogate Article 370. I think the audience’s reaction is also a good proof of that. This film is about the triumph of truth. And how can the truth be offensive to anyone?” reasons Jambhale.
The film actually has its research in place and is so focused on telling a gripping though authentic story that it forgets there are people out there, lots of them, who don’t want to hear the truth.
This is an impressively staged chronicle of the events leading up to the abrogation of Article 370 in the Valley. It is volatile and vibrant. But seldom does it reach into the crevices of patriotic cliches to get brownie points.
