Robbery, car theft gang leader falls
MANILA, Philippines — A man accused of leading a robbery and car theft gang was arrested in Taguig on Friday, the Southern Police District (SPD) reported yesterday.
The suspect, identified by the SPD as Kelly, 32, allegedly leads the Dongalo gang, district director Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes said.
Kelly is listed as the Taguig police’s most wanted fugitive and the SPD’s second most wanted for the first quarter of the year.
The suspect was served an arrest warrant issued on Oct. 9, 2023 by Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 267 Judge Antonio Olivete for murder.
Kelly is also the subject of an arrest warrant for violating Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, issued by Taguig RTC Branch 153 Judge Mariam Bien on Oct. 4, 2023. Bien set bail at P100,000.
He is detained at the Taguig police’s custodial facility, the SPD said.
