Eltern und Kinder sind enttäuscht: Das traditionsreiche Berner Sportlager in Fiesch wurde wegen neuer Regelungen mit dem Covid-Zertifikat kurzfristig abgesagt.

Das traditionelle Berner Sportlager in Fiesch hätte dieses Jahr dank eines zehnseitigen Schutzkonzepts stattfinden sollen. Am Mittwoch wurde das Lager aber abgesagt. Kurz vor Beginn des Lagers erliess das Walliser Kantonsarztamt neue Rahmenbedingungen zur Umsetzung der Covid-Zertifikatspflicht.

Ungeimpfte Personen über 16 Jahre hätten sich demnach alle 48 Stunden testen lassen müssen. Das Testen betrifft hauptsächlich das Leitungspersonal, schreibt der Verein in einer Medienmitteilung. Eine enttäuschte Mutter sagte gegenüber dem Bund: «Nur weil erwachsene Menschen sich weigern, sich impfen oder testen zu lassen, müssen nun die Kinder darunter leiden.»

Edith Olibet, Präsidentin des Vereins Berner Feriensportlager, weist die Vorwürfe zurück: «Ich finde das Herumhacken auf den Leiterinnen nicht fair». Der Aufwand für Tests und Kontrollen wäre für die ehrenamtlichen Leitungspersonen zu gross geworden, so Olibet.

«Leitpersonen müssen in erster Linie Kurse leiten»

Die Leitpersonen hätten gleichzeitig auch die geltenden Abstands- und Hygieneregeln durchsetzen müssen. Obilet sagt: «Sie haben aber in erster Linie Kurse zu leiten und die Kinder zu betreuen.» Auch wenn sich alle ungeimpften Leitpersonen regelmässig getestet hätten, hätte das Lager nicht stattfinden können. Der lagereigene ärztliche Dienst wäre schnell überlastet gewesen. Dieser sei nicht nur für Corona-Tests verantwortlich: «Er ist auch zuständig, wenn Kinder krank werden oder sich verletzen.»

Durch das abgesagte Lager werden auch etliche Ferienpläne von Eltern durchkreuzt. Christian Bigler, Leiter Sportamt der Stadt Bern, möchte hier Abhilfe schaffen: «Wir können das Lager leider nicht ersetzen, aber Alternativen vermitteln.» Er denkt dabei an Angebote wie die Ferieninsel oder Sportkurse.
