Greg Norman hails 'unique' and 'world-class' LIV Golf addition as future plans clear
LIV Golf have announced the addition of Adam Harter as the league’s new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), with Greg Norman hailing the breakaway circuit’s latest addition a ‘world-class’ one.
LIV have continued to grow since bursting onto the scene in June 2022, luring in some of the sport’s biggest names from the PGA Tour. Their latest addition though has come upstairs, with Norman and co welcoming Harter as CMO who has previously worked with PepsiCo and Media, Sports & Entertainment.
On the back of his appointment, Harter earned the plaudits of Norman, who said in a statement: “Adam brings a unique, world-class set of skills and experience that will bolster LIV Golf ’s ongoing work and create incredible new opportunities to develop our league and team brands.
“The addition of executives like Adam will help expand and deliver on the league’s long-term goals as we continue to reach fans across the world in new and exciting ways. We’re building a strong foundation of leading professionals dedicated to growing our league. We are proud of our many accomplishments thus far, but the best is yet to come.”
Keen to begin work with the Saudi-funded series the new CMO said: “I’m thrilled to join LIV Golf at a dynamic period in the league’s history and the history of the sport. LIV Golf is already well-known for its groundbreaking innovations for golf and driving global fan and partner engagement that is unique in the sports landscape.
“I can’t wait to build on LIV’s early success and continue developing global league and team brands that will be recognised around the world. LIV Golf’s future is extremely bright, and the opportunities are endless.” Harter’s appointment comes just weeks after LIV had added five other new executives to their business.

Greg Norman is continuing to grow LIV Golf
Last month, the league confirmed it had brought in a new Chief Financial Officer in David Phillipps, whilst also appointing Ross Hallett as Head of Events and Katie O’Reilly to Head of Team Business Operations. Pam Sacree was also named Head of Human Resources, whilst Tim Taylor took over the running of the Saudi-backed circuit’s UK HQ in London.
The appointments show a sign of intent from the LIV setup, whose future was thrown into doubt on the back of the shock announcement of a framework agreement between the PGA Tour and Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF). The deal that was announced last June saw the breakaway league and Norman left out of negotiations.
Despite this, the former world No. 1 is confident his 54-hole league is going nowhere. “I’m just gonna answer as the CEO of LIV,” he told Bloomberg. “My boss [Yasir Al-Rumayyan] told me LIV is not gonna go anywhere. It’ll be well and truly in operation, running well past his death. Now he’s a young guy.
“So he’s asked me just to stay focused and deliver LIV. LIV is a standalone entity. He’s invested billions of dollars into this. And we are starting to see the creation of an ROI (return on investment) within this. So we’re gonna stay focused over here.”
