Great news beauty fans - one of the most exclusive beauty stores is launching in Dundrum

One of the best beauty store for exclusive and niche lines in hair, makeup, tools and skincare is coming to Dundrum Town Centre.

A heritage store with its own collection from the UK, it is, of course, Space NK and it is an extension of the store’s presence in Ireland.

Its first store here opened on Grafton Street maybe a decade ago now and it has a constant stream of beauty fans through its doors. A move into Dundrum has been long-awaited by shoppers there, so this news is fantastic if you like more exclusive brands.

Space NK was founded by Nicky Kinnaird in 1991 and the first store opened in Covent Garden in 1993. First selling fresh smoothies, niche fashion brands and sought-after beauty brands like NARS, By Terry and Diptyque.

Demand for the beauty lines soared and soon Space became a makeup, hair and skincare destination. Today, the store has 72 stores across Ireland and the UK with another 29 in the US. To date, only two stores are in Ireland – one on Grafton Street, the other in Belfast so this news about Dundrum is very welcome.

So, what does Space NK sell? It has its own-brand skincare, candles, bath and body, plus some of the best (clear) makeup bags you will ever buy. And then there’s the Advent Calendar that comes out for Christmas (always one of the best, last year it even had one just for fragrance).

But aside from that, Space NK sells brands like Aesop, Boy Smells, Rare Beauty (see the blush post below), Augustinus Bader, Byoma, Drunk Elephant, Olaplex, Ilia Beauty, Sam McKnight, Lisa Eldridge, Living Proof and so many more.
