Uniqlo's crochet version of its crossbody bag is here

Uniqlo is renowned for its well-fitting basics, quality knitwear and practical outerwear, but the Japanese retailer’s current hit product is the “round mini” shoulder bag.

Since its launch two years ago, the small but convenient crossbody bag has sold out several times, with videos showcasing the style going viral on TikTok. Priced at £14.90 and available in a range of both bright and pastel colours, it’s easy to see why it has been so popular. Following its success, Uniqlo has now launched a crochet version of the best-selling design.

The new style has the same rounded shape that fans of original bag love and it comes in a choice of two neutral colours – beige and natural. The crochet bag designed to be lightweight and comfortable, with a design that shapes to the body and an adjustable shoulder strap. It’s made from a hand-knitted paper exterior and there’s also an inside pocket for extra storage – a handy perk in a roomy bag that already holds an unexpected amount of possessions.

The crochet shoulder bag is slightly more expensive, priced at £24.90, but if it follows in the footsteps of the nylon version, it’s likely to be another best-seller for the brand.
