Government ‘shouldn’t even attempt’ dangerous ploy to store Carbon Dioxide
The government are considering injecting liquefied Carbon Dioxide into the Great Artesian Basin which is Australia’s largest freshwater resource.
“If we make carbonic acid, then that carbonic acid in the aquifer will dissolve Arsenic, Cadmium and Lead,” Mr Plimer told Sky News Australia.
“That will come into the irrigation water, the drinking water.
“We shouldn’t even attempt to do this.”
