Axios Political Reporter Erin Doherty says former US president Donald Trump’s team are now accusing the judge of committing “errors of fact” regarding a $US454 million ruling on financial fraud.
Ms Doherty joined Sky News Australia to discuss the latest updates with Mr Trump’s ongoing legal troubles.
“They are saying that the $US454 million ruling that was issued earlier this month should not be enforced,” she said.
“So at this point his appeal now kind of kicks off this lengthy process that is likely to prolong enforcement of the ruling that was issued that came as a result of a year-long trial that investigated former president Trump’s business practices.

“Ultimately the judge overseeing the trial ruled that Trump and members of his business Trump organisation committed decades of financial fraud.”
