Good news: Sharp fall in electricity prices in Norway expected on Wednesday

After several days of record-high electricity prices in Norway, there will be a sharp fall in prices on Wednesday. On average, the price will drop 44% per kilowatt-hour compared to Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the electricity price will be NOK 0.80 per kilowatt-hour on average throughout the day in Eastern Norway, Southern Norway, and Western Norway, according to the price overview from the power exchange NordPool on Tuesday, E24 writes.

That is 44% lower than Tuesday’s record-high electricity price. The price per kilowatt-hour in Southern Norway amounted to NOK 1.43 on Tuesday (grid rent, fees, and the electricity companies’ surcharges not included).

In Trøndelag and Northern Norway, on Wednesday, electricity prices will remain a lot lower than in Southern Norway, amounting to NOK 0.13 per kilowatt-hour.
