Gold Rate Today: Price of 22 Carat, 24 Carat gold inches higher
Gold Price Today: MCX Gold futures for June expiry inched 1.26 per cent higher, or Rs 904 to Rs 72,543 per 10 grams on Friday (May 10) while MCX Silver futures for July expiry inched 1.23 per cent higher to 85,540.00 for a kg. The rise in price of yellow metal came as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in gold prices, PTI reported.
As per GoodReturns, the price of gold decreased by Rs 85 to stand at Rs 6,700 per gram for 22 karat gold and Rs 7,309 per gram for 24 karat gold (also called 999 gold).

Mumbai: The price of gold in Mumbai today is Rs 6,700 per gram for 22 karat gold and Rs 7,309 per gram for 24 karat gold.
Chennai: The price of gold in Chennai today is Rs 6,705 per gram for 22 karat gold and Rs 7,315 per gram for 24 karat gold.
Ahmedabad: The price of gold in Ahmedabad today is Rs 6,705 per gram for 22 karat gold and Rs 7,314 per gram for 24 karat gold.
Spot gold
Gold prices rose 1 per cent on Friday poised for price gains this week following US economic data that boosted bets of an interest rate cut from the Federal Reserve.
Spot gold gained 1 per cent to $2,369.35 per ounce by 0708 GMT, hitting its highest in more than two weeks. Prices have risen 3 per cent so far in the week.
US gold futures rose 1.5 per cent to $2,375.60.
