Gogglebox star Reverend Kate Bottley has announced the heartbreaking death of her mum. The reverend has taken to Twitter as she shares a touching tribute to her late mum.
Jacqui Smith replied: “Sending a big hug. She looks like a good ‘un and must have been so proud of you. XX” Alex Winters said: “I’m so so sorry. Sending love & peace xxx.”

Sinead Keenan said: “So very sorry for your loss, Kate. All love to you and your family xxx.” John wrote: “I’m so sorry for your loss Kate. My deepest condolences. God bless.” Other stars to reply included Divina de Campo and Kym Marsh.
On January 17, Kate had issued an update, writing: “My Mum has been in hospital for 3 weeks She’s due home tomorrow. It’s been tricky emotionally as well as physically. She has been cared for by some of the best humans, huge thanks to all @SheffieldHosp and #Solidarity #NHS.” Days later, she offered a brief update and begged fans: “Pray for Mum.”
“Going through the same with my dad… it’s a tricky path for sure but like you only love and huge gratitude for our NHS. Best wishes to your mum,” Mrs H replied. Nun said: “Praying for your mum, all who love her and all who have cared and will continue to care for her. I was in hospital for 6 weeks last year and am so grateful for the care I received. #NHS #Solidarity.”
Cheryl wrote: “It is a very difficult time, it is so difficult to watch someone you love, who has cared for you all of your life, vulnerable and poorly. We unfortunately lost our mam just before Christmas, but the care shown to her and us by the fabulous staff was second to none. Best wishes.” Debbie said: “My father in law has just come home after a week in hospital. We’re glad he’s home but it all felt less stressful when he was tucked up in the bosom our amazing NHS.”
Helen said: “The drain on emotions along with the physical is so hard – going through this at present with my dad. I hope your mum’s return to home is a smooth transition for her and you.”
