Goggia gelingt Lake-Louise-Triple - Sieg vor Gut-Behrami im Super-G

Sofia Goggia feiert beim Speed-Auftakt in Lake Louise einen totalen Triumph. Als dritte Athletin gewinnt die Italienerin nach den zwei Abfahrten auch den Super-G. Lara Gut-Behrami wird starke Zweite.

Goggia, Goggia und wieder Goggia: An der Abfahrtskönigin der letzten Saison führte bei der Speed-Ouvertüre in Kanada kein Weg vorbei. Mit ihrem Hattrick innerhalb von 72 Stunden gelang der 29-Jährigen Historisches. Als siebte Athletin gelangen der ihr drei Siege an aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen, als dritte Athletin nach Katja Seizinger und Lindsey Vonn glückte ihr das Triple in Lake Louise. Es sind ihre Weltcupsiege 12 bis 14, im Super-G triumphierte sie zum vierten Mal.

Hinter der 29-jährigen Überfliegerin aus Bergamo präsentierte sich Lara Gut-Behrami wie verwandelt. Seit den missglückten Parallelrennen in Lech/Zürs steckte bei ihr der Wurm drin. Zuerst kam ihr ein Magen-Darm-Infekt in die Quere, danach raubte ihr eine hartnäckige Grippe über Wochen die Energie. In Lake Louise mühte sie sich an den Vortagen mehr schlecht als recht durch die fast zwei Minuten langen Abfahrten, verlor im ersten Training über drei Sekunden, im ersten Rennen 2,74 und im zweiten 2,59 Sekunden.

Und dann knüpfte sie in ihrer Paradedisziplin nahtlos an die überzeugenden Auftritte der letzten Saison an, fast so, als hätte es die ungünstige Vorgeschichte nicht gegeben. Zum sechsten Mal in Folge stieg die Weltmeisterin im Super-G auf das Weltcup-Podest. Gegenüber der entfesselten Goggia hatte Gut-Behrami nur um elf Hundertstel das Nachsehen. Die grippegeschwächte Tessinerin sandte damit ein kräftiges Lebenszeichen nach den Problemen in den letzten Tagen und Wochen.

Die Österreicherin Mirjam Puchner komplettierte das Podest mit der Startnummer 29. Joana Hählen überzeugte trotz einer Windböe und einem Quersteller als Neunte, während Corinne Suter es als 17. nicht in die Top 15 schaffte. Jasmine Flury fuhr auf Platz 22, für die übrigen Schweizerinnen gab es keine Punkte.

Für die Frauen geht es am kommenden Wochenende mit zwei Super-G in St. Moritz weiter. Die zwischenzeitlichen Fragezeichen aufgrund einer möglichen Quarantäne für Einreisende aus Kanada sind nach dem angepassten Protokoll und einer bereits zuvor ausgesprochenen Ausnahmegenehmigung ausgeräumt.
