Cleveland-area 24-hour restaurant scene losing another gem

BROOKLYN, Ohio (WJW) — A beloved 24/7 diner is closing its doors in Brooklyn next week.

Steve’s Diner in Biddulph Plaza is serving up its last hot dogs and other breakfast fare come March 4.

“This is not a choice we want to make, but we are unable to renew our lease for the space we are currently in,” restaurant owners said in a statement on Facebook Monday.

Fans of the meeting spot, which was at the Brooklyn location for about 10 years, were asked to leave their favorite memories in the comments on the Steve’s Diner Facebook page.

“We want to thank all of our wonderful guests and employees for supporting us over these many years,” owners wrote.

Melt appears to have closed yet another location

Those who are still looking for that chili dog fix can head to Steve’s Doghouse on Pearl Street in the Brooklyn Centre neighborhood of Cleveland. It’s always best to call ahead, but they are technically a 24-hour restaurant as well.
