Sky News host Steve Price says members of the “unhinged left” who cut down a statue of Captain Cook in Melbourne on the weekend are attempting to “bury” Australia’s history.

“This is an attempt to bury our history, and to make us ashamed of who we are,” Mr Price said in response.
“Who goes around cutting down statues?”
The incident in Fitzroy Gardens last weekend follows a similar incident in Melbourne on the eve of Australia Day in which a century-old Captain Cook statue was also victim.
A Queen Victoria monument was also covered in red paint on the same evening in the city centre.
