Mayor Cherelle Parker Starts Investigation on Office of Homeless Services
Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia mayor Cherelle Parker has commissioned an independent accounting firm to investigate the finances of the Office of Homeless Services (OHS).
After a preliminary investigation from the Office of Inspector General, Parker was very concerned and wanted to evaluate their finances even further.
“We are retaining an independent accountant with specialized expertise to assist the Inspector General in performing a forensic investigation of OHS,” said mayor Parker.
The mayor is using Horsey, Buckner and Heffner LLP accounting firm to examine OHS’ funds.
Once the analysis is complete, it will be shared with the Office of Controller Christy Brady for any other action.
