Blackpink's Jisoo, Natalie Portman, Xin Liu and Jennifer Lawrence lead Dior's Paris Fashion Week front row

Paris Fashion Week began on Tuesday with Dior’s runway show in the Tuileries Garden, Paris, bring with it a typical explosion of star studded appeal.

Leading arrivals to the anticipated autumn winter 2024 collection, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, was a flurry of the Parisian fashion house’s best known ambassadors. Actor Jennifer Lawrence made her way through bustling crowds wearing a three-piece, grey wool suit (sans shirt), and completed her runway-ready outfit with a black overcoat and matching Lady Dior bag. Natalie Portman, in the midst of a busy awards season thanks to her role alongside Julianne Moore in May December, also made time to attend, and opted for a tweed skirt suit and cat-eye shades, as she embraced Dior’s French Director of Public Relations Mathilde Favier on arrival.

Other acclaimed international guests attending the collection included Spanish Motomami singer Rosalía, who wore wrap Dior shades and a cropped black puffer jacket, Filipino actor and model Pia Jauncey and the Japanese actress and model Yuko Araki.

Adding to the charged atmosphere were the balloon-waving fans of Chinese singer Xin Liu, while Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn played up to cameras smoking cigarettes and flaunting his Dior, blue shearling coat, and K-pop star Jisoo, of Blackpink, arrived to the sound of cheers.

Paris Fashion Week continues until Tuesday, 5 March, with highlights including fashion shows from Saint Laurent, Victoria Beckham, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
