“We could expect this weather system to continue bringing colder nights and mornings until the second week of March,” weather specialist Robert ‘Obet’ Badrina said. Meanwhile, the Pagasa forecaster said the trough of the low pressure area (LPA) spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is affecting Caraga and Davao Region where overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms would be likely.
Also affected by the northeast monsoon are Cagayan Valley and Aurora where cloudy skies with light rains would prevail within the next 24 hours, the state-run weather agency said. The easterlies, along with the localized thunderstorms, are affecting the rest of Mindanao where partly cloudy too cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms would be experienced, it added.
