Galliker: Liefersituation in Schweiz deutlich besser als in Europa

In der Schweiz bestehen nach Ansicht des Transporkonzerns Galliker keine Anzeichen für eine Versorgungskrise wegen fehlender LKW-Fahrern. “Die Situation in der Schweiz ist deutlich besser als im Rest Europas”, sagte Firmen-Präsident Rolf Galliker in einem Interview.

“Wir haben unsere Hausaufgaben gemacht. Die Schweiz muss sicher keine Angst haben vor Versorgungsengpässen”, sagte der 56-jährige Verwaltungsratspräsident des Familienbetriebs Galliker Transport dem “SonntagsBlick”. Zwar würden in den kommenden Jahren auch in der Schweiz viele Chauffeure in Pension gehen, und es sei seit Jahren eine Herausforderung, guten Nachwuchs zu finden. Das ergehe aber fast allen handwerklichen Branchen so.

Das höhere Lohnniveau in der Schweiz sei bei der Personalrekrutierung eine Hilfe, aber nicht ausschlaggebend. “Die Probleme in Deutschland und anderen westeuropäischen Ländern haben eine andere Ursache: Die dortigen Transportunternehmen haben über viele Jahre hinweg fast ausschliesslich günstige Fahrer aus Osteuropa eingestellt und den Stand der einheimischen Fahrer verkümmern lassen”, sagte Galliker.

Lange Zeit schien dieses Reservoir unerschöpflich. Jetzt zeige sich, dass das keine nachhaltige Strategie gewesen sei. “Die Lebensqualität in vielen osteuropäischen Ländern ist gestiegen. Es sind deshalb immer weniger Fahrer bereit, wochenlang von zu Hause fort zu sein, um mit dem Lastwagen quer durch Europa zu fahren.” Junge Polen würden heute lieber Informatiker als LKW-Fahrer. Dies spürten nun die westeuropäischen Transportfirmen.

Nach Ansicht von Galliker sollte jedes Land wieder genügend Fahrer ausbilden, um die nationale Logistik zu gewährleisten. “Das geht je doch nicht von heute auf morgen, sondern wird Jahre dauern.”

Der Schweizer Galliker-Konzern beschäftigt mehr als 3000 Mitarbeitende. Er hat 21 Niederlassungen in der Schweiz, in Belgien, Italien, Schweden und der Slowakei. Die Ableger in Belgien und der Slowakei müssten sich mehr anstrengen als früher, um gute Leute zu finden, erklärte der Firmenchef. Da man jedoch auch in diesen Ländern eine gute Ausbildung und attraktive Arbeitsbedingungen biete, sei das Unternehmen gut aufgestellt.
