Gadis Afghanistan akan kembali ke sekolah dalam tempoh terdekat

KABUL: Taliban memberi jaminan akan membenarkan semua gadis kembali ke sekolah dalam tempoh terdekat.

Perkara itu dimaklumkan jurucakapnya, Zabihullah Mujahid selepas mengumumkan baki pelantikan Kabinet kerajaan Taliban.

“Kami sedang memperincikan beberapa perkara… ia akan berlaku secepat mungkin,” katanya ketika ditanya mengenai isu pendidikan dalam kalangan wanita.

Bagaimanapun, beliau tidak menyentuh mengenai isu Kementerian Hal Ehwal Wanita yang ditutup minggu lalu dan menggantikannya dengan sebuah jabatan lain.

Jelasnya, jawatan terbabit dianggap penting bagi membolehkan ‘Emiriah’ berfungsi.

Isu membabitkan pendidikan wanita timbul selepas Kementerian Pendidikan mengarahkan guru dan pelajar lelaki kembali ke sekolah hujung minggu ini, namun tidak menyentuh mengenai nasib guru dan pelajar wanita.

Terdahulu, beliau mengumumkan senarai akhir pelantikan Kabinet termasuk tambahan kepada Kementerian Kesihatan.

Pelantikan pertama untuk pemerintahan interim Taliban diumumkan awal bulan ini, diambil secara eksklusif dari barisan penyokong setia mereka di semua jawatan penting, walaupun sebelum ini memberi jaminan mengenai pentadbiran inklusif untuk semua rakyat Afghanistan. – AFP
