Attacking reinforcements for FC Eindhoven: Enrico Hernández (20) must provide the blue and whites with much-needed goals next season. The striker comes over from Vitesse on a rental basis.
Hernández started last season at Jong Vitesse, with six goals in five matches. After a professional debut in February, the attacker was even in the starting lineup against Ajax in mid-May (1-3 loss).
In the past, the Arnhemmer with Salvadoran and Finnish roots played in the youth academy of Almere City (2014-2016) and Ajax (2016-2018).
Main points of attention
FC Eindhoven had been looking for offensive reinforcements for a while. Last season, the team scored difficult and this preparation also turned out to be the biggest points of attention, creating chances and scoring goals. In addition to Hernández, FCE has strikers Jort van der Sande and Dave de Meij (youth) and wingers Jasper Dahlhaus, Joey Sleegers and Naoufal Azzagari (youth).
Head coach Rob Penders noted on Friday after the friendly game with Lierse Kempenzonen (0-2 loss) that he would like to add ‘fast players with depth’ to his attacking line. Moussa Sanoh (26) came on trial a day later, but the quick winger left after two training sessions because of a nice offer from Romania.
