Take their advice about the cabins below the pool deck, for example. Staying below the pool deck probably wouldn’t set off too many alarm bells if you didn’t know about the ship’s cleaning schedule. Fast forward to the vacation itself, when you’re constantly awoken in the middle of the night or pre-dawn by the sound of scraping chairs. That’s a potential trip-ruiner, which is why this advice is so crucial!

Their tip about avoiding cabins in the aft or bow areas of the ship is especially important if you’re prone to seasickness. If you’ve got an iron stomach and you like the views, those cabins might be alright… but those with sensitive constitutions should take heed of their warning. Viewer @team.a101 also learned this through experience: “I was using the bathroom on one and I felt the ship swaying. Weirdest feeling ever!”

Their viewers also warned about a few other types of cabins to avoid. “Cabins under the MDR kitchen area. Banging and dropping pans. Starts around 2:00am,” alerted @candydevine5. “Also cabins below the buffet, pulling of chairs from 5 am,” @lindadaly08 informed.

Reference your ship’s map when choosing a cabin to make sure you’re not stuck near anything noisy. Oh, and if you get seasick easily, don’t take chances with a room in the front or back of the ship… stay comfy and collected in a central cabin!
