The strip has also seen the sale of the two terrace Backpacker’s HQ offering. With 21 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, its been sold by Bruce Drayton and Simon Marshsold with the details undisclosed, but reputedly for $5 million each. Geddes cast an enthusiastic eye over them too.
Meanwhile, estate agent Jason Boon awaits a decision from his nearby vendors after a reputed $15 million offer lobbed last month. The Victorian Italianate residence, set at the top of the McElhone Stairs, has been listed by Joy Morais, wife of corporate adviser Wrix Gasteen.
Offcourse, Emma Van Haandel, owner of PR agency EVH, and her husband Joel Williams, had similar pre-COVID price hopes for Hordern House, but nothing came of their listing through Boon.
