Franki Russell is off to a great start in the first-ever Miss Universe UAE as she announced that she has made it to the pageant’s top 30 contestants.
On Instagram, Franki posted a photo of herself dressed in what looks like a modern take on the hijab and wrote, “Top 30 @missuniverseuae. This feels so surreal.”
“I feel so grateful and honored to be a part of something so historical—the first-ever Miss Universe here in the UAE,” the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate continued.
She also thanked the people who made the pageant possible and for allowing her to be a part of the pageant.
She added, “I feel like there’s never been a better time to have a Miss Universe UAE to empower and inspire women from all walks of life.”
Showing that she’s up for the challenge, Franki commented, “I am excited to challenge myself and grow alongside such beautiful women! Let’s do this!”
Previously, Franki wrote about not being able to represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant. She shared in a Twitter post, “It may not be the flag that you prefer, but I am so excited because this particular pageant represents a lot more than that.”Internet Explorer Channel Network
