Former Badgers 4-star WR finds new home after 1-year layoff
After a one-year layoff, former Wisconsin Badgers wideout Markus Allen will be transferring to Butler Community College in Kansas, he announced earlier this week.
Allen, a former four-star recruit in the Class of 2021, had transferred out in the summer and has now found a new home for the 2024 season.
Electing to go the community college route, Allen now joins a school that has produced NFL talent in the likes of Michael Gallup, DeMarcus Lawrence, Bruce Irvin, and Byron Pringle, among others.
Allen had a tumultuous career in Madison, as he struggled to see the field early under the former regime, initially transferred out before re-joining the Badgers, and then faced some legal trouble prior to transferring for good from Wisconsin.
Now, Allen will look to resurrect his career at Butler, hoping to spark some fire underneath him after a tough start to his collegiate career.
With Allen and fellow wideout Skyler Bell transferring out, both of Wisconsin’s 2021 wide receiver recruits have now moved on from the program.
