Kahi, a former member of K-pop girl group After School, is slated to appear on tvN’s upcoming show tentatively titled, “Mom is an Idol.”
“How will it look if a mother sings and dances on the stage once again?” the singer wrote on Instagram on Friday, after the news about her TV appearance was reported. Kahi also unveiled a photo of herself practicing dancing.
“Mom is an Idol” is a program featuring female K-pop stars who have put a hold on their careers due to pregnancy and childbirth. Through the show, the singers will prepare for a return to the stage.
Sunye, a former member of Wonder Girls ― a disbanded girl group that enjoyed its heyday in the late 2000s with its hits “Tell Me” (2007) and “So Hot” (2008) ― has also joined the show, which will premiere in December.
Kahi, whose real name is Park Ji-young, debuted as the leader of After School in 2009 with the EP, “New Schoolgirl.” As part of the group, she has put out a series of popular songs such as, “Because of You” (2009) and “BANG!” (2011). She quit the act in 2012 and tied the knot with a businessman four years later. After her marriage, she moved to Bali, Indonesia, and is now raising her two sons there.Internet Explorer Channel Network
