‘My transfer to Allahabad High Court was ill-intended’: Outgoing judge’s big claim
Outgoing Allahabad High Court Chief Justice Pritinker Diwaker has made a huge claim, saying his transfer from the Chhattisgarh High Court to the Allahabad High Court by a Collegium headed by then Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra was “ill-intended”.
Speaking at his farewell ceremony, Justice Diwaker alleged former CJI Dipak Misra transferred him to the Allahabad High Court with the intention of harassing him.
“My transfer order seems to have been issued with an ill intention to harass me. But as fortune would have it, the bane turned into a boon as I received immense support from my companion judges and members of the bar, he said.
He said he thanked the current CJI DY Chandrachud for “rectifying the injustice” done to him.
