Five fully vaccinated people in Bærum infected with corona: “A small proportion”

Five fully vaccinated people in Bærum infected with corona: “A small proportion”

Among the 60 new cases of infection in Bærum in the last two weeks, there are five fully vaccinated people and 20 people who have received one vaccine dose.

The information was confirmed to newspaper Budstikka by the municipal chief physician in Bærum, Frantz Leonard Nilsen, on Thursday.

“Some people reported getting sick even though they have been vaccinated, even though it is a small proportion. In the last 14 days, five fully vaccinated people have been infected, and around 20 of the infected received the first dose of the vaccine,” Nilsen stated.

He emphasized that there is not a lot of serious illness among those infected. At Bærum Hospital, there has been only one inpatient with coronavirus in recent days.

Nilsen stated that almost 90% of the population over the age of 18 in Bærum has now received the first vaccine dose.

Small proportion

On a national basis, a total of 824 fully vaccinated people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. According to the FHI’s latest weekly report, that accounts for 0.05% of the more than 1.7 million fully vaccinated people in Norway.

A total of 608 of the 824 infected have had corona detected more than two weeks after the last vaccine dose.

There are the fewest detected cases of infection among those who have been fully vaccinated with Moderna’s corona vaccine, with a share of 0.03%, but the numbers are small. In total, this applies to only 47 people.

The proportion is 0.05% for those who have been fully vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine and 0.07% for those who have first received AstraZeneca and then one of the mRNA vaccines from either Pfizer or Moderna.
