Ice-T jokes about 'jungle sex' being the reason for keeping his romance fresh with wife Coco Austin

Ice-T and the rest of the cast and crew of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit  celebrated the return of the police procedural crime drama series for its milestone 25th season on Wednesday and the star got candid about getting intimate.

While promoting the return of the hit NBC show, the legendary rapper and actor addressed another longtime commitment in his life, wife Coco Austin, the legendary rapper and actor joked to E! News that the two are able to stay connected through ‘jungle sex.’

‘That flame has to stay lit,’ Ice (born Tracy Lauren Marrow), 65, maintained. ‘When that flame goes out and you’re not really attracted to each other anymore, you have to address that very quickly because it’s something that’s necessary.’

‘We have to be teammates, not opponents, not assets, not liabilities,’ he said while referring to Austin,’ adding, ‘I value what she brings to me, and I think it’s vice versa. We appreciate each other.’

The couple have been going strong since first meeting on the set of a music video in 2001 after being introduced by a mutual friend, which let them to tie-the knot in Las Vegas just months later.

The Rhyme Pays star, who was first recognized for his rapping skills in 1980s, went on to compare finding the right partner in life to actor who is ‘ready for all scenes.’

“Getting married is like casting for a movie. You got to pick somebody who’s ready for all the scenes,’ he maintained, before adding, ‘Now, there’s gonna be fun scenes. There’s gonna be sad scenes. There’s gonna be tough scenes. There’s gonna be fight scenes. A lot of people don’t sign up for the whole movie. They just sign up for the good part.’

Along the way, the couple welcomed their sob Chanel, now eight, to their family, which also includes Ice’s daughter LeTesha Marrow, 47, whom he shares with his high school girlfriend Adrienne, and son Tracy Marrow Jr., 32, with ex-girlfriend Darlene Ortiz.

While making the rounds during the promotional event, Austin (born Nicole Natalie Austin), 44, confessed that their young son actually has a goal of appearing on his dad’s longtime show, Law & Order: SVU.

‘You know Chanel and Ryan Buggle [boy who plays Noah, son of Mariska Hargitay’s character Olivia Benson] have the same agents. We didn’t even know that. She just got an agent,’ Austin revealed.

After breaking out as a solo hip-hop artist, Ice began acting, making his debut in feature film in the breakdancing-themed musical Breakin’ (1984), which led to such other movies as New Jack City (1991), Ricochet (1991), Trespass (1992), Surviving The Game and Tank Girl (1995).

Ultimately, he landed his career-defining role as Detective Fin Tutuola, joining the Law & Order spin-off in the second season in 2000.

With Ice now in his 24th season on the NBC series, Ice now has the distinction of being the longest-running male actor on television.

Law & Order: SVU returned to NBC for its 25th season on Thursday, January 18, at 9 p.m. ET.

‘That’s some pimp s**t right there,’ Ice-T declared, while being interviewed at the 25th season party about a throwback snap of himself.

‘That’s when I had my perm and my ponytail, See, the thing about me is people bring up old pictures. I’ve been fly every year of my life since I was born,’ he said, in a reference to the looks and styles he’s donned over the decades.

Austin stepped in and offered him high praise for ‘looking nice in vests’ in the photo the journalist sowed him.

The Surviving The Game star then pronounced that he has never gone through one of those bad fashion moments many people have had in their lives.

‘You’ll never find a bad picture of me. I’ve never been corny,’ he declared. ‘You know people who have a corny period in their life? Not Ice.’
