First Look: Lennon Courtney launches colorful summer collection

A new clothing and homeware collection by Lennon Courtney X Kilkenny Design has dropped complete with bright colours and bold prints, just in time for summer.

It takes inspiration from the goddess Bealtaine, whose essence represents summer, sun, fire, and power, and inspires a time for change and renewed confidence that comes with a seasonal transition – marking the arrival of summer.

The 53-piece collection is their third collection and is designed to be made up of capsule wardrobe pieces, that offer multiple ways to style over the summer, from holiday must-haves to casual layering pieces and elegant occasion wear.

The Bealtaine collection evokes long, summer nights with orange tones and sea swims with turquoise and deep blues.

Essential wardrobe pieces from the collection include the Forever T-shirt in orange and turquoise (€45) and the versatile Freedom palazzo pants (€85) in the signature Bealtaine print – a bright multi-coloured mix of oranges and blues and greys.

There are also a number of elegant dresses for dressier occasions including the Anna May cape-sleeve dress (€140) and the strappy long Float dresses (€95) in navy and Bealtaine print.

There is also outerwear including the oversized Euphoria coatigan – a mix between a coat and a cardigan – that comes belted in a blue and orange colour (€150) as well as range of luxurious bags and accessories.

Clothing comes in all sizes ranging from XS to XXL and prices start at €24 up to to €330.

The homeware collection, with prices ranging from €24 to €90, offers the same essence of joy, wonder and celebration as the fashion collection and also comes in the same orange and blue colours.

Lennon Courtney X Kilkenny Design home showcases a collective of soft furnishings including cushions and throws designed with the most luxurious and plush materials with unique finishes including fringing.

Home accessories include serving bowls (set of three for €50), coasters (€35) and candle holders (€24) showcasing exquisite woodwork and pops of colours with blues and pinks.

Speaking about their latest collection, which centres around five inspiring women who work in Kilkenny Design stores around the country, designers Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney said: ‘The story of our models is important to us, we really wanted the women who sell our clothes to understand them, to feel what it is like to enjoy them, and we think when you look at the range of shapes and sizes, heights and skin tones that can wear these colours, they universally work.

‘The collection includes a full-on colour punch and a sleeper palette to sit alongside that, not just for different women but for the different moods of the same woman.’

The fashion collection will be available to shop online from May 7, and in stores from May 10. The homeware collection lands on May 19.
