(SPOT.ph) We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: you don’t have to travel far for a main-character moment under the Sakura trees. They may not exactly be the famed Japanese Cherry Blossoms, but we have other flowering trees here in the Philippines that can give the same vibe. Case in point: If you live in Iloilo and are having a serious case of Cherry Blossom FOMO, we spotted trees teeming with pink flowers right in the municipality of Pavia. Spotters in Iloilo and neighboring provinces, check out these Cherry Blossom look-alikes while they’re in full bloom at Robinsons Pavia.

Check out these pink Cherry Blossom-like blooms in Iloilo:

Drop by Robinsons Pavia and you’ll see big trees teeming with pink flowers moving in the summer breeze. Although not identical to the Japanese sakura, these cherry blossom-esque blooms are from the Tabebuia rosea, commonly known as Pink Trumpet flowers. These flowers, characterized by their trumpet-shaped petals in shades of pink and white, adorn tall deciduous trees that reach heights exceeding 35 meters.

These trees bloom from January to April, adding a touch of beauty to the mall complex with their vibrant display. Imagine having a meal at the al fresco dining spots in the mall or window shopping at the different storefronts while a flurry of pink flower petals blows with the wind. Doesn’t that just give strong main character vibes?

Where else can you find these cherry blossom-like flowers?

In addition to Robinsons Pavia, Tabebuia rosea, or the pink trumpet trees, were also spotted in Sarangani Province early this year and are currently in bloom along the Laguna Lake Highway or C6 road in Taguig. These pink trumpet trees often grow in tropical climates and rainforests. They are primarily native to Mexico, Venezuela, and Ecuador.

Robinsons Pavia is along Ungka I Barangay Road, Pavia, Iloilo. For more information, visit Robinsons Pavia’s Facebook page.
