American rapper Fetty Wap has thanked his fans for all the support he received after the death of his 4-year-old daughter Lauren. In a video on Instagram, the artist told in tears how his followers had touched him by their statements of support.
He asked his fans to react massively with butterfly emojis under his social media posts, because butterflies were his daughter’s favorite animals. Lauren is the fifth child of 30-year-old Fetty Wap, the stage name of Willie Junior Maxwell II. He reportedly has a total of six children with five different women.
On Sunday, Lauren’s mother announced that their daughter had died. “They say that souls feel love so when you see this message, say to yourself ‘I love you Lauren’.”, wrote mother Lisa on Instagram with a photo of her daughter in a swimming pool. Lisa used the hashtag #rip, which stands for ‘rest in peace’.
Fetty Wap is best known in the Netherlands for the song Stairs Queen, which became a modest hit in 2015. He was also heard on the singles Bang My Head by David Guetta and Sia and All In My Head (Flex) by Fifth Harmony.
