Den amerikanska läkemedelskoncernen Eli Lilly lyfter kraftigt i förhandeln på New York-börsen. Aktieuppgången på drygt 8 procent sker efter att bolaget höjt sin prognos för helåret 2024 till intäkter på mellan 42,4–43,6 miljarder dollar.

Bakgrunden är en stor försäljningsframgång med diabetesmedicinerna Mounjaro och Zepbound. Dessa kan även användas vid behandling mot övervikt på liknande sätt som Wegovy, i sin tur tillverkad av danska Novo Nordisk.
