The Cleveland Browns need to add more speed to their wide receiving core in hopes of being more dynamic in the passing game in 2024. The hot name in free agency as a potential Browns target is Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis who has a history with new offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey in Buffalo.

Davis definitely would bring the elite vertical speed but has been very inconsistent in his four seasons in Buffalo. He is a one-trick pony and the massive potential price tag he would potentially bring doesn’t make the lemon worth the squeeze.

I believe that every player should make as much money as possible because you never know when it is over but the Browns shouldn’t be the team that pays him that. There are times he seems to disappear and doesn’t have everything needed to be a number one option and if you are paying $13 million or more a year he has to have more upside for it to make sense.
