‘Fed Up Of Hostel Food?’ MBA Student Forced To Wash Plates For Gatecrashing Wedding
The Indian wedding season is in full swing, with thousands of marriages taking place every day. For family members and relatives, the biggest attraction is obviously the main function where the bride and groom exchange the wedding vows and unite two families.
But the majority of people have nothing to do with the main function. They just come, hand over their gifts, eat food, and leave the place.

India is famous for its big fat weddings. People invite hundreds, in some cases even thousands, of friends and family members to bless their bride and groom.
These large gatherings make it possible for people, who aren’t even invited, to gatecrash the wedding and enjoy the sumptuous food that is on offer.

It’s a common practice and most men, at some point in their lives, have been guilty of attending family functions uninvited and relishing the free food.
In most cases, the organisers don’t really care if a few extra people crash their function. But not every organiser is as lenient.

Ask the MBA student who had to pay a heavy price for eating free food at a wedding in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The poor student was forced to wash plates by the organisers after they caught him red-handed enjoying their food.
Not only did they ask the student to wash their plates but also recorded the whole act. The video which has since gone viral shows a middle-aged man interrogating a boy and asking him to wash his plates as a punishment for gatecrashing the marriage.
Although what he did was not right, it’s no surprise that people are sympathetic towards the boy. Sharing the viral clipping on social media, one person called out the organisers for apparently ruining the “age-old tradition” and described their behaviour as “unacceptable”.

“We gatecrashed so many weddings as teenagers. Its kind of your right to do and get away with such things when you are at that age. The wedding party should have known better,” tweeted another user.

Even though he came uninvited thus should have not been done. . It’s understandable nowadays plates are getting too costly but He only ate some food. Little warning should have been okay. Much more is being thrown away in garbage in all of these wedding dinner

Such a disgusting act. So much of food is wasted in weddings. He was just a student who must be bored of hostel good, our customs take pride in feeding the needy.

Agree, we would have starved in our youth if such barbaric acts had been committed,,,,:)

While the organisers were well within their right to stop anyone from eating food at their wedding, they should have asked the boy to leave the wedding premises. Making him wash the plates and humiliating him on a video certainly didn’t show them in good light.
