In another twist to the Farmer Wants a Wife baby drama, farmer Will Dwyer has cast doubt on whether he is the father of contestant Hayley Love’s unborn child.
In his first public statement, Dwyer said he was sad the drama had played out in public after Love, 25, confirmed the impending arrival last week.

“When the time comes, I will be the best Dad I can be,” Dwyer wrote in an Instagram post alongside an old photo of his father.
“If this is in fact my child, I’ll be there whenever the child needs me. Even if as parents we can’t be a couple, our family will be filled with love for our child.”
“But one thing I learnt from my Father is that discretion is the better part of valour. I’m sad that this has played out in public. I want only the best for Hayley. I’ll say what needs to be said in private and let my deeds do the talking”
Love — who was originally matched with farmer Matt Trewin — said she went on to date Dwyer, 39, shortly after the reality show’s finale was filmed in December, but it is understood the pair ended their relationship in April after she told Dwyer she was pregnant.

The 39-year-old sheep and cattle farmer from Longwood, Victoria disabled the commenting function on his Instagram posts a day after his former flame went public with the news.
Meanwhile, speculation is rife that Trewin and Love have rekindled their romance.
The pair have been making no secret of their fondness for each other, setting tongues wagging that they have ended up together.

It comes despite Love leaving the show in favour of Trewin’s chosen love match Tara Hurl.
