Fans Furious as NBA Refs Single Out Anthony Edwards with Tech, Spare Jamal Murray
NBA refs had one of their more inconsistent performances of the postseason in Game 1 of the Nuggets vs. Timberwolves series Saturday night.
Late in the third quarter, Anthony Edwards with a technical foul for his staredown of Nuggets veteran Reggie Jackson.
At the time, the NBA world erupted in frustration over the foul call, arguing it was “weak,” especially in a playoff game.
The situation escalated late in the fourth quarter when Jamal Murray drained a three, plus the foul, and pointed finger guns at Karl-Anthony Towns. He didn’t get hit with a tech, though.

This shouldn’t be a surprise. Denver gets the calls it wants. The Nuggets are, after all, the defending champs.
But to hit Edwards with a tech for his staredown but ignore Murray’s clear taunting is ridiculous. Not before long Edwards and the Timberwolves will have the entire NBA world backing them.
