A fan breached security at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to meet former India captain MS Dhoni, but the latter’s reaction won hearts. The incident took place during defending champions Chennai Super Kings match against the Gujarat Titans on Friday. Dhoni enjoys a huge fanbase wherever he goes to play across the world and that was visible once more at Gujarat’s home ground.
If not a sea of yellow, there were a number of fans in Chennai jerseys in Ahmedabad on Friday. They came to support Dhoni and his team, with the former captain seemingly playing his last match at the venue.
During the final stages of the match, a fan breached security to run into the ground and meet Dhoni. The former Chennai captain teased the fan by running a while before the man fell onto the ground, at Dhoni’s feet.
