Der Onlineriese Facebook will sich laut einem Technikportal umbenennen.

Facebook will nicht mehr Facebook heisst. Das schreibt das US-Technikportal «The Verge» auf seiner Homepage. So plane Unternehmenschef Mark Zuckerberg auf der jährlichen Connect-Konferenz am 28. Oktober den neuen Namen preiszugeben.

Das weltgrösste soziale Netzwerk Facebook werde zusammen mit Instagram, Whatsapp, Oculus und anderen unter einer Muttergesellschaft vereint. Facebook selbst nimmt keine Stellung zu dem Bericht.
