Chiefs lose offensive weapon for divisional round after practice injury
The Kansas City Chiefs revealed a disappointing setback for a wide receiver they hoped could return to play against the Buffalo Bills this weekend. The Chiefs are set to play at Buffalo in what will be the team’s first road playoff game since 2015.
The Kansas City Chiefs have several WRs hurt
The Chiefs have multiple wide receivers battling injuries this week. This week, Kadarius Toney, Justyn Ross, Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling were all placed on the injury report. Toney and Ross are questionable to play the Bills.
The Chiefs rule out Skyy Moore
The Chiefs designated Skyy Moore to return from injured reserve this week. Moore suffered a knee injury in December. The team was optimistic he could return in the Divisional Round.
However, according to Pete Sweeney with Arrowhead Pride, the Chiefs did not activate Moore off injured reserve Friday after the second-year wide receiver “tweaked” his knee injury in practice on Thursday.
The Chiefs have a mix of good and bad news on injuries this weekend
It’s unclear if the Chiefs expect Moore to return for the AFC Championship Game should Kansas City win this weekend after Thursday’s setback.
Fortunately for the Chiefs, Rice and Valdes-Scantling have no designation for the game on Sunday and are expected to play the Bills.
Left tackle Wayna Morris and defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi have been ruled out for Sunday’s game.
