Few college football teams, if any, have been more frustrating to watch in recent years than the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Scott Frost was hired to bring the Huskers back to Big Ten contention heights. However, that has not happened. The Huskers have yet to make a bowl game under Frost’s leadership.
On Saturday, it’s been more of the frustrating same. While the Huskers are playing well at No. 3 Oklahoma, the lack of attention to detail – and execution when it matters most – are crushing the upset hopes.
Nebraska trails Oklahoma, 23-16, late in the fourth quarter. The Huskers have missed two field goals and an extra point – which was returned for a two-point score by the Sooners. It should be 21-17 Oklahoma, or something even closer, based on the missed kicks.
The college football world has sympathy for Nebraska fans today.
I feel for you Nebraska fans. Watching this is maddening.

“That situation was a microcosm of Nebraska’s rebuild…Nebraska fans have to be sick to their stomach right now.” – Joel Klatt

Nebraska, baby, you know you’re good enough to play with the No. 3 team in the country.
Somehow, I think Husker fans will feel they should win this game, and I don’t think that’s gonna make them feel better.

Scott Frost has been pretty frustrated, too, to be fair.
